Dr. Thuc Quyen Nguyen, MD is one of the few female gastroenterologists serving within the Arlington, Texas and DFW area. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, she earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. She then completed her residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, Department of Internal Medicine in Washington, DC. She then continued her fellowship in gastroenterology at Georgetown University Hospital. Her professional interests include colorectal cancer screening, liver disease, such as viral hepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis and primary sclerosing cholangitis, inflammatory bowel disease, women's health, and gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
Dr. Nguyen and her husband have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Allison, and enjoy sharing their children's milestones, life experiences and exciting family vacations. She enjoys meeting new patients and fostering her relationships with her current patients. She loves her job in that she can share in the joys of improving her patients’ health, provide diagnosis as well as therapies to improve their symptoms and diseases. Most importantly, she feels very lucky to be able to be a source of comfort and knowledge for her patients as well as their family.
She is fluent in English and Vietnamese.
